Scott Henson joins Rare as Studio Manager

LONDON – 28 October 2010 – Microsoft confirmed today that Scott Henson has joined Rare as Studio Manager (Microsoft Games Studio), one of the UK’s best-loved and well-recognised developers. 

Scott’s desire to create gameplay experiences that are simple fun for everyone will drive his team and the studio into the next chapter of success. With the team’s first Kinect title, “Kinect Sports”, launching in November, Scott and the team at Rare are committed to championing the vision of building Kinect games that anyone can jump in and play.

Having previously worked on the hardware and software design of the new Xbox 360 console and Kinect for Xbox 360, Scott is keen to bring his wealth of experience on the platform to one of Microsoft Game Studios’ most prominent and successful developers. Says Scott: “Kinect Sports is the opening salvo for what I believe will be an exciting, Kinect-enabled future for Rare - I have two words to describe the studio’s future: bold and bright.”
